Hello,
I clicked on "About this Mac" in the menu and then tried to

I've never had this happen before.
Any suggestions?
I have an eMac, using OS 10.5.6.

Clicking on "More Info" runs the System Profiler program which lives
in the Utilities Folder in the Applications Folder.

You might check there to see if the program has somehow been deleted,
or not installed properly when you did an OS upgrade or some such.

If it's there, try double clicking it and see what you get. If it's
not there, consider re-installing your OS or last update.

If it's there and works, it means the alias function of the About
This Mac dialog box is bunged. Suggest running fsck or restarting the
computer and holding down the shift key as it bongs to force it to
Safe Boot, without extensions. This also runs fsck and does minimal
files system repairs if there are any problems.

Check to see if the "More Info" has returned.

If not, do another normal restart, and immediately run Disk Utility
and Repair Permissions on your hard drive.

Check to see if the "More Info" has returned.

If not, you may have a problem with the application pre-bindings. You
would need a utility application like OnyX to repair these. We won't
go there yet.

You could also have some other sort of problem. What's the general
condition of your machine?

Hope this helps.
