As mentioned just earlier, Stuffit has "anchored" their Magic Menu addition to the Menu Bar in a hard left (that is, furthest left of all the positioned icons which are hosted on the right section of the Bar) when the Mac's desktop/Finder is the active app. The left side is occupied by the (7) contextual menus, which as you point out, are rock solidly "stayed put" in their respective places - good for me.. I am sure I'd lose them if they were moveable!
