All logs are available thru the Console app, /Applications/Utilities/Console.app ...Select "Show Log List" from Console's View menu. As you can see there are a lot of logs! system.log contains system-wide events - things like the Time Machine failures. console.log contains your user events. Everything there is r/o (read-only), so peruse at will - you cannot hurt anything. If the log listed won't open then you'll need to run console from an admin account. - Dan. -- - Psychoceramic Emeritus; South Jersey, USA, Earth --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
