Both the LaCie and OWC adapters are (were) Initio-based. The OWC adapter has switchable internal/external, and the external connector is indeed eSATA, just as the internal connector is indeed iSATA. The LaCie adapter has only external connections, but, alas, the connector is iSATA, not eSATA. For the LaCie, you would either use the LaCie external SATA cases, or you could obtain a the non-standard iSATA to eDATA cable from one of the many ePray vendors which ship from Hong Kong. The cables are inexpensive, about $3.99. Shipping is about the same. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
