I have a 2003 G4 MDD single 1.25GHz. The fourth DIMM slot (J20) is flaky - kernel panics, freezes, etc.
I've heard a theory that, despite Apple's stated limit of 512MB DIMMs in these m/cs, it's actually possible to use 2 x 1GB chips to achieve the max RAM configuration. Has anyone here done that? - and did it work?!
