If that's Apple's reasoning, I think I would've preferred a fourth RAM
slot instead of a fourth PCI.

Of course, at that time, Apple probably saw no need for anyone to use
more than 1.5GB of RAM.
I don't think it'd hurt anything for you to go ahead and try the
installation to see if it works. If it doesn't work, just remove the
program.

BTW, do you HAVE to run CS4? You mention being on CS. Have you given
thought to upgrading to CS2 or CS3? From what I read, CS3 requires 1GB
of RAM and a G4.

Also, will CS4 work for you anyway, and which 'collection' are you
wanting to use? The system requirements seem to vary widely between
collections. The 'web' and 'design' collections, for instance, lists a
1GB RAM requirement and a G5 (not G4) minimum for processor. The
'production' and 'master' collections state the 2GB RAM requirement,
and claims that an Intel processor is the minimum (so it must be
something that's in the production package that kicks things up).

If all the above is correct, you shouldn't be able to run this on your
quicksilver anyway, as the lowest processor allowed is (supposedly) a
G5.
