I'd try resetting the PMU which will also reset the PRAM/NVRAM using
these instructions:

NOTICE STEP #7, reconnect the AC power adapter BEFORE placing the
battery back into the iBook!!!

1)If the computer is on, turn it off.
2)Disconnect the AC power adapter.
3)Remove the battery.
4)Press and release the reset button (shown below) located above the
Power button at the base of the display. Use a small, blunt instrument
such as a paper clip to press the button.
5)Wait 5 seconds.
6)Reconnect the AC power adapter.
7)Put the battery back in the computer.
8)Press the Power button to restart the iBook computer.

If you have all those systems you listed (9.2, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4) I'd
strongly suggest limiting it to 10.4.11 and perhaps 9.2.2 if you need
it, but surely there are few reasons to have to extra OS X versions
and such a fragmented (partitioned) HD.

If you transferred or cloned the OS X Systems from another Mac, you'll
need to trash the System>Library>Extensions.mkext and
System>Library>Extensions.kextcache files (if present) to get it to
boot correctly.

This topic would be better on the G-Books list rather than G3-5 list.
