I'm having a highlighting issue that I thought was limited to the new Safari 4 beta, a likely bug, but then I see it's continuing into other applications, including Mail.app and Text Edit. The symptoms are various, and include not being able to highlight anything in a window; or having the highlight "end point" stuck in a location within the window so that I've got a highlighted area and can't get rid of it, it seems to move to wherever the cursor is within the window from the fixed stuck endpoint. Very frustrating.
I've also had a strange highlight issue going back months & months that hasn't changed. In Safari 3 and now 4 beta when highlighting does work, and the text or area to be highlighted continues down out of the window, the scrolling downward slows to a crawl, whereas if I start at the bottom of the text and highlight upward there is no slowdown and it highlights everything fast.
