Is it just me or has Apple lost it? Check out this review of the new Mac Mini:
<http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/apple-mac-mini-2/4505-3118_7-33541087.html> In particular notice that the Mini is memory and HD poor, in addition to the awful benchmarks. Oh yea, and the external i/o ports are SLOW (still no eSATA). CNET "forgives" it because it's "only" $100 more expensive than the Acer. But the reality is, to compare oranges to oranges, you'd have to spend big bucks for the memory upgrade and HD. So the real delta is something like $300 IFF you ignore the eSATA problem. I was hoping Apple would release a nice machine for general office work. Yea, I know - wishful thinking. What client would possibly be interested in such for office work after seeing that review?! What to do? sigh. - Dan. -- - Psychoceramic Emeritus; South Jersey, USA, Earth --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
