Ok, so this weekend I became an object lesson for y'all. A couple of months ago, I got a neat little webcam from Woot.com, the Clique Hue.
Woot said 'Windows only'; box only mentioned windows, no one on the woot forum chimed in with a 'Oh yeah it works on OS X', but it was cheap, and many of them work with Macam <http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/ > So I got it. Checked Macam site, didn't work..Ah. I'll wait a couple months, try again. Checked this weekend, still no support. Hmm, maybe someone else has gotten it to work...let me see: Google google google. The company that makes the thing has a web site. <http://www.huehd.com/> With a support section. With a drivers page. With a link to OS X drivers, which they've had all along, and were present on the CD included, if I'd bothered to look :-) Moral of the story: Don't always believe the box. :-) -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
