IS your email account a POP or IMAP account? If POP is your account set to mark mail as read and delete the mail from the server upon download? If IMAP, rebuild your inbox (select it, select Mailbox > Rebuild) from the menu. This may also work with POP accounts, I don't know, I don't touch the things. More than likely your deleted mail will come back when you do this. Delete the mail again, the IMMEDIATELY right-click (or control-click) on the inbox and select 'Erase deleted messages'. This usually fixes these sorts of issues. Finally, if it IS an IMAP account, and the above does not fix your inbox, quit mail, call your ISP support folks and tell them that someone who knows what he's talking about has told you to ask them to kill all the imapd processes your user is running on the server. I've got a few folks with what I suspect are connectivity issues who ebnd up with dozens of zombie imapd processes on the server and un- deleteable mail is a symptom they often have. You really don't even have to quit mail...it doesn't care of the server processes die, it just reconnects if it needs to. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
