There was some discussion of this on one of the lists I"m subscribed to, G4 list, this one, Macintel...a month back or so, long discussion about replacing HDD's in iPods with the CF adapters. AFAIK the only ones where they're directly compatible are the first gen Nano's, which used a CF HDD.
