Startup disk/volume, video resolution, sound volume, etc.

Uplug the systems.  Replace the PRAM batteries 
with known good ones.  Plug them in.  Wait about 
10 secs then try booting.  At that point you 
should get either a healthy BONG - which 
indicates the self-test passed, or individual 
beeps, which indicate what failed.

If you have further problems, then you'll need to 
provide us with more details.  And please 
remember - top posting makes providing tech 
support very difficult.  Bottom post and trim.
