I had a much upgraded 867 Quicksilver with 2 2-port Seri-Tek SATA cards. 
They were recognized as native in 10.4 and ran quite well, though the 
drives ran a bit hot as the Quicksilver case is known to be! The MDD is 
very similar. I got them new from OWC, search for PCI SATA.
