Disk Utility can do a verification scan on the currently booted volume; no need to boot on the DVD or another volume first. If Disk Utility finds something that needs repairing on your boot volume more than maybe once every six months... then you need to look deeper - find out what's causing it and fix that. - Dan. -- - Psychoceramic Emeritus; South Jersey, USA, Earth --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
