Howdy, A local seller has some new Ti4600 cards for $25. That seems like an affordable upgrade from the Rage II that my G4 Gigabit came with. I think this card was made by nVidia. You can see it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370112810349 The Mac Elite suggests this chipset as a very compatible one for OSX. You can see their list at: http://themacelite.wikidot.com/nvidia-geforce Do people here agree that would be a good choice for small dollars? If it makes a difference, I intend to stay with Tiger for a while. Maybe it will be forever on this computer, but I have not made a final decision. If OEM cards are not a good choice, why is that? I imagine these cards are OEM, although they could just be old stock. I can go look at the card. It is an hour drive, but it might be worth it if I knew what to look for. Finally, I remember when I was looking at flashing a Radeon a few years back that some cards did not have enough flash rom space for the Apple ROM image. Is that kind of thing still a problem? If so, does anyone know what I should look for to see if this would be a good card? Thank you, Ralph
