Make sure the memory is 16-chip (8 on each side) true low-density or
your Cube may only access 256MB of it. Also, it is sometimes better to
go with a trusted Mac seller like OWC. I originally bought RAM for my
Cube from auction, paid around $21 per stick, saved around $20
compared to OWC's prices. When I upgraded the OS to Leopard I started
getting crashes; when I checked the RAM with Rember 2 of the 3 sticks
showed bad. I bought 3 pieces of 512 MB from OWC, replaced to cheap
stuff, and haven't had a crash since. When I tried to get the faulty
off-brand sticks replaced under their "lifetime warranty" guess
what... no replacement from the seller or the manufacturer. Instead of
saving $20 I wasted $45.
