>And I haven't run an antivirus since OS X came out. Whatever you > do don't go running out to buy Norton for the love of the gods.... LMAO. > > Kyle Hansen I reread that and I didn't mean to be harsh on you man. It's just that as a Mac tech I have to teach people to Unlearn windows all the time. and Norton for the Mac stinks. The first thing I do at a new client's office is look for Norton. If they have it I use the Norton Shell removal tool all Certified Mac techs can download and that solves almost all your problems. The ONLY utility I recommend you use (and even then sparsely) is Diskwarrior. Make sure you get the right version. FWIW I also run Vista Ultimate, Windows XP (SP3) on my MacPro and it blows my actual PC gaming rig out of the water. Only thing you have to do is buy a copy of windows and follow the bootcamp instructions. And you an have a screaming PC as well....if you need that. My best advice to you is to stop and try to use your intuition to operate a Mac. It will usually work. And ask all the questions you want in this forum. That is what it is here for.
