Does Dell really make their monitors ?

It is important with MacOS and any monitor to correctly calibrate.
Officially you need and expensive USB calibration light meter ... But
with experience as an artist I feel pretty confident doing it by hand
and eyeball (it helps if you have multiple monitors to compare
pictures).

I just recalibrated my Samsung 970 (it was made in 2005), 20 inch flat
panel. The color is OK but I have to say the old powerbooks have the
better flat panel color (with very painful calibrating) -- I mean old
like 90s

Anyway the calibration in Tiger is very good tool or seems to be -- if
one is careful and try a few times with different settings, comparing
pictures, etc. But I would not buy another Samsung. I think the next
time I go with Princeton, if I have the $ (and I buy used stuff but I
try and get better quality).
