Hello Len,

I tried your suggestion, but nothing changed.

The MDD is a dual 1 Ghz, 80 GB hard drive, 512 KB ram, Superdrive,
4X AGP video card.  Aside from the replacement hard drive, ram, and
PRAM battery, the MDD is totally stock, just like when it came from
Apple, all original parts with no other changes.

More suggestions please?
