Any ideas? Various things. But you could try to open it, clean it (dust can cause short circuits) and then try again to start it. If that doesn't help, I would take it all apart, clean it again, and reassemble only the necessary stuff (no PCI expansion cards, only on DIMM of RAM, CPU off course). And try again to start.
