I don't believe it will. Its hardware related. My Yikes! is the same  
way ... you can get around it by using Xpostfacto, and use an onboard  
hard drive as the Helper, and then it will seem to be booting off the  
external FW enclosure drive. It will then Startup from the external,  
but only "via" the internal drive.

Everything after Yikes! I think boots off external FW, but not USB.

I don't think OS 9.1 can utilize large hard drives. Maybe 9.2.2?
