I didn't say per folder.  I said the INBOX in APPLE MAIL (which is 
the application we're discussing).

Subsequent folders / mailboxes can be gigantic.  It's the INBOX 
that's critical -- it's got multiple threads writing to it, so it's 
most at risk for corruption.
