Player and reader have a longer support 'tail' than authoring  
software, for example, you can still get OS 9 versions of flash  
player. Very OLD versions, mind you, since they long since stopped  
developing them, and many features no longer work.

I expect they'll eventually drop PPC support; PPC users will be stuck  
at whatever is supported in 10.5 or 10.6.
