I have a 2ghz original Intel iMac, with XP2 in a Fusion VM, and while it does take a long time to load up, once up the performance is decent, certainly on par with any of the equivalently powered PC's here. If you crank up the RAM in them they tend to run like pigs though, you'll (counterintuitively) want to stick with the default 512 megs. That said, I don't do a heck of a lot of compute-intensive tasks in it, it's mostly Windows Domain administration and some software testing and such. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
