I have a 2ghz original Intel iMac, with XP2 in a Fusion VM, and while  
it does take a long time to load up, once up the performance is  
decent, certainly on par with any of the equivalently powered PC's  
here. If you crank up the RAM in them they tend to run like pigs  
though, you'll (counterintuitively) want to stick with the default 512  
megs.

That said, I don't do a heck of a lot of compute-intensive tasks in  
it, it's mostly Windows Domain administration and some software  
testing and such.
