It's good news MacFixIt is going to be free starting Sept. 2nd, but in
my experience MacFixIt is simply a conglomerator of reports without
effective editing by someone who understands the issues or the
problems. Much of the information is not very good, or worse, not the
solution it claims to be, and a waste of time to perform. Still,
having MacFixIt as a searchable archive will surely be helpful if you
remember to treat MacFixIt advice skeptically, and think before
acting. As a pay site, MacFixIt was too low quality to be worthwhile
in my opinion. Now that it's going to be free, the price seems right
in comparison to the quality.
