With Disk Utility? I forgot to mention that the only problem with the disk is that some files were inadvertently deleted. I don't know how much writing was done after that. I'm running Windows 2000, which may be better than XP for this kind of work. XP seems to want to "redo" a Windows format disk if it's been written to by a Mac.
