Bottom posting is a suggestion. It is our preference. However, we long ago realized that there is no practical way to run a popular list and enforce it. However, we do encourage trimming whatever you're replying to. Some people are still on dial-up (about 1 inf 4 worldwide), so it's just courtesy to do that.
