ATTO UL3D are still plentlfull on eBone. Costing a lot less than I paid for mine :-)
These are dual channel U160 units. They are 64 bit PCI cards so they make a 33MHz G4 towers PCI slot as fast as a more modern 66MHz 32 bit PCI slot. They have internal and exernal connectors. Until recently my work cpu (which was supplied by me as my company only supports Dell) was a G4 dual 450MHz sawtooth which booted from a UL3D and a pair of 15Krpm U160 drives (mounted internally), configured as a raid stripe. I thought it well worth the trouble :-) All things must pass: it's now retired home and been replaced by a Dual 2.3GHZ G5 Xserve (Cluster node 'cos their cheap). It's slung under my desk with nylon straps! John PS this is extreme trimming and neither top nor bottom posted :-)! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
