I don't use the online services for backups.  I use them for sharing 
files with friends and clients.

Dropbox, in particular, is very nice for sharing.  You create shared 
folders with others.  Then anything you put there is automagically 
quickly pushed to their machines.  When the download is complete, 
they get a growl notification.

* Dropbox is still pre 1.0.  They're adding features etc.  The 
latest, in 0.7, is LAN Sync.  Selective sharing and metadata support 
will be next hopefully.
