I really understand that this might be too > much of a stretch, but the early Minis should be within your budget. An early mini would be cheaper, but I need FW800 and there's no way to add it. A BTO 2.0GHz/4GB/320GB mac mini and a 26" Samsung HDTV will run me about $1300--which beats out pretty much any similarly spec'd imac I've seen so far.
