MacFamilyTree is Mac specific and has many updates regularly. It also has some innovative features such as being able to share your tree over the web, plus an iPhone app "MobileFamilyTree" to access or edit your tree from your iPhone when roaming about. The developers quickly respond to bugs and other feedback. It has a lot of eye-candy, for example, it's "Virtual Tree" can construct 3-D lattices of an entire tree that you can navigate around inside; it also has a "Virtual Globe" akin to Google Earth that shows the locations of everyone and can show specific data such as migration routes across the globe in animated moving path fashion.
