Hey Larry, Does it just seem to take a very long time to boot or it doesn't boot at all??? Also what it the processer speed??? I had this problem with a 366 G3 Clamshell iBook and it was running Panther 10.3.9 so I down graded it to Jaguar 10.2.8 and the problem went away... Now I know there will be some people out there who will say there is nothing wrong running Tiger in these G3's but I tried everything I could think of and couldn't get it to boot up any faster... Even with Jaguar in the 366 takes a little time but is probably twice as fast then Panther was. I have a 466 Clamshell running Jaguar and I have booted them up together at the same time and the 466 always beats out the 366 by maybe 30-60 seconds... Also I forgot to mention these machines are maxed with memory 576mb... One thing great about the towers (desktops) you might be able to increase the proc speed and I would always max the memory!!! CoolKat
