Here are the spec's:
System requirements
GarageBand 2 requires the following:
• Mac OS X version 10.3.4 or later
• A Macintosh computer running at 600 MHz or greater (To use Software
Instruments, a Macintosh G4 or G5 is strongly recommended.)
• At least 256 megabytes (MB) of memory; 512 MB recommended
• QuickTime 6.5.2 or later
• A screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels or more is recommended.
• Approximately 3.5 GB of free disk space to install the GarageBand application
and media.
