Welcome to the real world, Dan. Let me see if I can help. > T'bird 3 is slower than T'bird 2 (which was already abysmal compared > to Eudora 6). Any tips on speeding it up? The 3 second (or more) > lag before it displays an email body is especially frustrating. 3 is faster than 2. Trust me, I painfully worked on 2, using my Ti 400. > Then there's those tabs. I agree with you, they could fix the contrast, though I don't experience it as severe as you do. I don't think you could make it "more contrasty". Perhaps this is something you could send the developers. Or, perhaps there may come a time when one could download themes for T-Bird. > Font sizes.... Global settings apply to all accounts, and local only to particular accounts...that's how I understand it. I hope this helps. On your suggestion, when T-bird 2 was a mess, I went to Eudora. I came back and decided to sweat it out with T-bird. I'm glad I did. I have up to 6,000 of group mail, plus several accounts...all running without a problem. I shut T-bird down only to install an upgrade. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
