Check for item/gunk under space bar. Remove space bar by gripping upper right and left hand edge and pull up and back until it "unsnaps." Brush away anything which isn't plastic, rubber or white in color. When reinstalling the space bar, first insert the ends of bottom "U" shaped metal rod through the bottom loops of the pair of raised metal loops on both sides of the space bar mounting area. Then push the space bar onto the tips of the nylon springs until you hear the "snapping/crunching" sounds as the tips and the space bar engage. Hope this helps.
