I'm a server Tech and I have never gotten one to take a stick bigger than
1GHz.  They are meant to be toys. A desktop equivalent of a netbook.  Meant
for web browsing and word documents.  I think that's why there is a limit on
their memory capacity size limit.  They aren't meant to do anything more
than that, and if you want to then Apple wants to push you into a more
powerful machine.
