I thought of that too, but then I should at least get some response from the should-have-booted-and-should-be-running Mac OS. But there is none. I did try the volume keys on the keyboard, but it doesn't seem to have affected anything. BTW, if the PRAM and the NVRAM is reset -- what is the default setting for the volume anyway?
