I would try to clean it up. I think when you said "drink" you mean something other than water, which would be pretty easy to blow out and dry up. What you are facing I'm afraid is sugar, oil or some other foreign material that will need to be flushed away. After that maybe you can dry and clean it. Key boards can be had on eBay so all is not lost :)
