I have a question about the location of attachments in iCal Events.
Also another question about managing invitations through the Events
window.
After using Now UptoDate I had gotten used to linking documents to
events. That had advantages when carrying information from event to
event without copying and pasting into the note field. With iCal, the
attachments apparently are embedded in the iCal file somewhere,
because I can delete the original file and still access it from the
Event window. This seems like it will lead to a bloated calendar file
over time. Am I right in that assumption? Is there a more economical
way of dealing with attachments in iCal?
About Attendees - Is it possible to disable the "Send" button on an
event field?
I use the Attendee list to list contacts relating to the event, not to
send an "invitation" to the event.
In fact, I don't really create events, just notes and reminders for
relevant to each day, so I'm leery of broadcasting that information by
mistake to anyone I have listed in the Attendees field. Now UptoDate
let me list contacts without the possibility of triggering some
mailing by mistake. Now UptoDate also provided links in individual
Contact files leading to all of the events in which that contact was
inserted. Very helpful.
Thanks,
Dale Hoffman
