There is the Hi-Cap utility from InTech but that is $25 or so...

There is also an Open Firmware hack that enables you to bypass the 128Gb 
limitation of the older G4 logicboards

I have tried the Intech one and never run into any problems with it but some 
people have.

Nowadays, I have a Sonnet IDE card to take larger drives in my Sawtooth and 
Digital Audios plus a SATA card in my MDD.
