It was an enterprise asset management system called LANRev

LANRev was the previous name. The current name is "Absolute Manage" by "Absolute Software". Sounds like Big Brother. I hate absolutes like "absolute". This is absolutely unconscionable. The pictured showed the kid eating "Mike & Ike" candy and the school admins thought it was drugs in capsule form.

the company that owns the software now is going to remove the surreptitious snapshot feature.

Evolution in action, the way it's supposed to work. Then the schools will request video w/sound as a replacement for the removed still photo feature which was so misleading and embarrassing to the school admins. Next time, they'll get it right for certain.
