I think Apple themselves will work with you on this and let you buy a copy, if you call them @ 1-800-MY-Apple. You will need to give them the MDD's serial #. Also, I thought some people on these threads mentioned that the eMac Mac OS 9.2.2 install worked for the MDD. Though if you install it you may need to boot disabling extensions the first time to disable a couple for proper setup of Mac OS 9 native booting as some Classic support extensions conflict with booting Mac OS 9 properly(?)
