I have a G4 gigabit and the power button does not work. I have followed the apple service bulletin several times to no effect. Pulled the plug, pushed the button, and taken out the battery for over 10 minute. I have "Smart Reporter" showing a green light and I have replaced the mother board. Does anyone know if I replace the powers supply will fix this?

Does the fan in the power supply come on when you press the button? Have you tried shorting across the power button contacts to make sure it isn't the power circuitboard in front?
