Well ... control-click opens the selection window for the item you're control clicking over ... but that is usually only one of the options of a truly right-clickable mouse ... I have a Logitech that allows left, scroll wheel, and right clicking, and you can set it to be equivalent to control-click, or the one I prefer, double-click. Other options available through the 3rd party's mouse-keyboard software.
