I bought mine used 1 year ago and I turn it on and off pretty much daily. So far no sign of leaking,. But this one has a Panasonic radiator that was replaced by Apple. It's my favorite DVD ripper and burner because of the speed. Also I like to use it to transfer CCCs. The only thing I wish it could do is boot OS9 because my CAD/CAM runs only on booted OS9 due to a hardware key. I've seen some leakers and it's pretty ugly, But I'm not afraid of the Panasonic's.
