You know what? you could've partitined it! It could only read 128GB of partition space at a time, so why don't you put that 250GBHDD back in there, and put in (2) 125GB partitions. Also, if you want to "beef it up", use LeopardAssist to put leopard on it. Leopard requires a G4 processor @ 867Mhz or faster, but 800Mhz is pretty close anyways.
