I did that again. This time it  still didn't display all of Safari at one
glance but let me scroll to the parts I couldn't see.It wouldn't let me do that
before. Now I have both Firefox and Safari but they both have their strengths.

on my wide screen all I do is hit the enlargement button again and it expands
to fill my screen without any problems. Have you tried going to the preferances
panel and choosing display then calibrating your new screen? Perhaps even
trying out the different screen sizes will  work. You should be able to get a
full wide screen.

The window didn't drag to the left. The third time I reopened
Safari, safari expanded to 3/4 of the screen. I guess that will do.

Try this. Drag the window to the left until the left side of the window touches
the left border of the screen. Then, look at the bottom right corner of the
window, and you will see a small tab. press and hold on it using the let button
on your mouse, and then drag it to resize it. That should
resize the window to full screen based on your preference.
