I was in Fry's today and happened to notice external HDD 3.5" enclosures that stated USB 3.0. I never saw these before. Is that something that needs special support from my computers? Can I download something that will make my USB faster?
Do I get a card to utilize it?

There's no OS X support for USB3 yet, and may never be. Apple is supporting Intel LightPeak as a successor to USB1/2 and Firewire400/800, so it's possible that USB3 support may never materialize, although I'd not bet on it. Microsoft has such pull that USB3 will certainly have a lot of vendor support even if LightPeak beats it all around. It could be the USB/Firewire battle all over again?
