Have you tried just connecting the Pioneer drive to the same cable

Give it a try and see what happens.
thanks. but i did try the obvious. the cables are both good. had 2
HDs connected, no problem. also booted from an IDE HD and system
still would not see DVD when it was the only thing on the PCI/SATA
card. in fact, it wouldn't even see the ACard when only the DVD was
attached, tho it does see the ACard when nothing is attached, and when
the boot HD is on the other SATA port. just won't see the DVD.
and the DVD drive is brand new Pioneer DVR-218L, right out of the box.
I thought I read somewhere that, at least my FirmTek SeriTek/
1S2Internal Serial ATA Host Adapter, that I use in my Digital Audio
Dual 533, only supports the SATA HDs, and not DVD drives. Am I wrong?
Was trying to find it, but I cannot remember where it is ... maybe an
OWC Tech Support told me so?
